In conjunction with the Little Free Library movement we were tasked to create a small container that could house about two dozen books. This design is to help a community create a “take a book leave a book” type of library where people can have access to books. in line with the class being environmental design we were told to use at least 85% recycled materials. before starting the design, I found a large pile of wood strips. the location we choose to design for was Newport Beach. this found material inspired me to design a wave like structure that would open to allow for access to the books. and the bottom would have a mount that would attach to the low concreate walls found all over the city allowing for easy transportation.
