The Arts District Library in Los Angeles placed on the corner of 5th st and Alameda has a prominent stance at the edge of the Los Angeles Arts District. In an area that is being reformed by the influx of residence and individual business it is vital That the area gains new public resource for the growing population. In this project we looked at the purpose of a library and how it can be redesigned for the future. For this project we identify the library not as a place to store books but a place to discover knowledge in all forms, by reading, talking and doing. To facilitate this we focus on how the user will interact with the space as well as how the space can be a catalyst for interaction and knowledge.
